Courtney D. Shelton MD

Dr. Courtney Shelton was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. Following in the footsteps of his mother who was a Registered Nurse and father a Veterinarian, Dr. Shelton soon realized he wanted to continue his family’s legacy in healthcare and entrepreneurship. Dr. Shelton graduated from Michigan State University with his Medical Doctorate and completed residency at Hurley Medical Center.

Dr. Shelton is a Board Certified Internist currently practicing in Atlanta at Shelton Hospitalist Group and is affiliated with Atlanta Medical Center Wellstar. Dr. Shelton’s passion and commitment not only lies in Primary Care but also in Research. As Principal Investigator of several clinical research trials, he sits at the forefront of new ground breaking medication, therapy, and treatments that he uses to provide more efficient healthcare for his patients
